Outreach and Inclusion Specialist
Berkshire Nursing Families (BNF) is seeking an organized and mission-driven Outreach and Inclusion Specialist who is committed to improving maternal and child health in Berkshire County. This part-time position (10–15 hours per week) supports and promotes community-based programs that expand access to culturally responsive lactation support and education for marginalized and underserved communities.
The Outreach and Inclusion Specialist will work closely with the Community Outreach and Inclusion Manager and other BNF staff to ensure services are inclusive, accessible, and culturally relevant, while supporting partnerships with community organizations, hospitals, and clinics to increase awareness and participation.
Lactation Specialist
Berkshire Nursing Families (BNF) is a nonprofit that provides free, community-based lactation and early parenting support across Berkshire County. Since 1998, we have centered families who face the greatest barriers to care, including families of color, low-income, young, rural, and LGBTQIA+ parents. To better reflect the communities we serve and to create mentoring opportunities for underrepresented staff to gain advanced training, BNF is hiring a Lactation Specialist I (LS1) for up to 15 hours per week. This is a grant-funded position for one year from Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation’s Perinatal Health Initiative, with the possibility of renewal for additional years depending on performance and continued funding. BNF will provide paid training time, CLC coursework support, and clinical mentorship.
Terms: CLC is a Certified Lactation Counselor; an IBCLC is an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant, the highest clinical breastfeeding/lactation credential
