Real People,
Big Impact

2025 Impact

Last year, Berkshire Nursing Families walked beside hundreds of families through the earliest—and often most tender—days of parenthood. Whether answering a late-night call on our 24/7 support line, weighing a newborn at playgroup, or offering reassurance to a worried parent, we were there.

Together, we built community, eased anxiety, and helped babies and parents thrive.

Now into 2026, we are meeting our goals. We launched a new childbirth education series, are hiring more staff of color to better reflect the communities we serve and continue to expand our prenatal programming—so every family can access informed, compassionate support from pregnancy onward.

With gratitude,

Julia Keosaian, MPH
Executive Director

What Sets Us Apart

24/7 access.
No other local organization offers around-the-clock phone and text support.

In-home visits regardless of geography.
BNF comes to families anywhere in Berkshire County. For a rural county where transportation is a major barrier, this is essential.

Prenatal through postpartum continuity.
BNF builds relationships before birth and maintains them through the early parenting period — not a one-time consult. Feeding & lactation support extend beyond delivery at the hospital.

Embedded in pediatric care.
BNF's partnership with Northern Berkshire Pediatrics, attending appointments alongside families, is unique and meaningful. We are part of their medical team.

Truly free. No eligibility requirements.
No income limits or sliding-scale fees. BNF serves any Berkshire County family, no means test, no insurance required.
